To obtain copies of obituaries, please call the library at 563-263-3065 or email the Reference Department at refmus@muscatineiowa.gov

You may also download a request form and mail it to the library.

Please include the full name of the deceased, the date of death, and the date of the obituary if known.*

The cost of research is $5.00 for the first half hour and $10.00 for each additional hour. The cost of copies and shipping (up to 5 pages) is included in the fee. The library is unable to fulfill requests for obituaries with no known death date.

We cannot guarantee that the information requested will be found, but we must still charge for the search time involved.

To obtain obituaries with no known death date you may contact an outside source to perform the research for you.

*In all cases, Musser Public Library reserves the right to deny a request depending on condition of materials, staff availability, and in accordance with copyright restrictions.
