You may suspend a hold on your account. While the hold is suspended your place in the queue will be maintained. You will move up the list during the suspension period until you reach position 1. At that time you will remain in position 1 until the end date of the suspension. When the item becomes available it will be assigned to you. You will be notified via email or phone when the item is available for you to pick up.
To suspend a hold contact a librarian at the Reference Desk (563-263-3065) and they can place the suspension for you.
